Hi,

Great work! Been using this for a couple of days and noticed there was a 6.0.010 update. I tried updating and it broke everything unfortunately. Is there a safe way or a guide somewhere to help me update from 6.0.009 to 6.0.010 without wrecking everything?

When I updated I just got the 6.0.010 splash screen but there was absolutely no other content. Plugins etc all gone.

I no longer have this in flash to try but via the spa panel you can create a backup of all settings plugins ect then restore it after the update, i wouldnt have expected to loose everything though as have updated previous versions without issue.

Thanks for the heads up. It's annoying when they decide to update stuff like the bootlogos as well. As Ten states always back your settings up before doing an online update.

You can also use Software Manager in the plugins

Select the folders and files you want to back up (the common ones are already selected but one might want to add spinners. boot/radio/logos to the list as well which are under /usr/share & /usr/share/enigma2.

but on OpenSPA it is flaky when you come to do a restore as you have to initiate a manual reboot coz it gets stuck restoring. :mutley:

Thanks for the help guys. I'm now upgraded to 6.0.010 and everything is set up almost perfectly!

I have one issue though that is related to timeshift. It's an important feature for me personally but not sure about others so may be worth fixing for future updates?

The problem is, when I go to pause live TV, I get a popup asking me to choose 1. Timeshift Avanzado or 2. Start Timeshift (see attached screenshot) . 1 does nothing and 2 then shows a progress bar at the top, then when I press play or stop it takes me in to the movies (recordings) selection page.

It looks very broke to me. All I want to do is for live TV to pause and rewind without any popups or anything, same way it would work on Sly +.

Is something broke or how can I go about fixing this?

If you press Menu do you see Multiquickbutton in the list?

If not then Press right, right and select 'Remap Keys'. Once in there you should see an option for the pause/play key. Go in and remove the two options assigned. Save and your pause key should then just pause and play.

This most recent update played havoc with my key map settings as well. :bangd:

Maybe the install did not go well, does it show as available?
I have not tried it on this image.

The new skin loads and is visible in the menus and infobar, but not on channel selection screen

I dont think the skin author owns a vu+ so wont be aware of this, You haven't did anything wrong mate its just not compatible with the Spa image. Spa use alot of custom skinned screens unlike other OEA images.

Skin repositories have a control xml called 'skin.xml' which contains the settings for that skin. You could try editing that but it comes with risk.

In the xml you will find sections for each function including epg where font sizes are defined. You could try adjusting these but bear in mind making them too big will affect how much can be displayed within the skin assigned space.

Here is an example of such a section:

I just got round to installing this, and then I used the restore backup option in the menu to restore my bouquets etc, and I'm unable to exit the restore screen! If I press exit it just runs through the restore process and all other buttons are disabled.
Any suggestions?
Also, should I do the online update now, or have the issues outlined above not yet been ironed out?

It's a SPA feature.

Do a GUI restart from web i/f or just reboot.

I guess something in the backup is not compatible, restore your settings with a channel list editor & cam files manually & you will have no problems imo.

It should be in the feeds under extensions listed as vuplus-kodi, there has been alot of updated since this backup was made though so you might be better starting fresh with the latest image tbh.

I no longer have this in flash to try but via the spa panel you can create a backup of all settings plugins ect then restore it after the update, i wouldnt have expected to loose everything though as have updated previous versions without issue.

Maybe the install did not go well, does it show as available?
