At the ANGA COM exhibition, which kicked off today in the German city of Cologne, two complete new UHD receivers from Vu + were introduced.

The first new feature is the Vu + UNO 4K SE, which has a 2.4 "color display, a 2.5" removable disk slot and is packed with an entirely new FBC tuner working on the DVB-S2X standard. Another new feature is the Vu + Zero 4K receiver, which will also be available with the new DVB-S2X or DVB-T2 / C tuner. The prices of both news are not yet known, as is the date of sale. However, it is possible to assume that they will appear in stores traditionally at the end of the year.

Vu + features new plug-and-play DVB-S2X FBC tuners at the show in addition to the boxes. You will be able to insert them not only in the newcomers but also in the currently sold Vu + ULTIMO 4K and Vu + UNO 4K boxes. Another new feature from Vu + is the USB dongle Bluetooth to ensure collaboration with the new remote control for Bluetooth-free receivers.

They look nice actually, the zero looks cool.

Already have Vu+ Uno4k and a single feed communal dish, so don;'t think I will get another box now unless I can sneak up a dish and point it at 19.2 and have some fun on that.

That zero is small and compact actually hey.

cant see myself upgrade either, as happy with vu+ uno 4k box does all i need can't see no improvements that i will required but might be great box for some off the generation who haven't replaced there box -- but hopefully they spend sometime sorting out drivers before release this time and think more off there customers ;) ... my only issue since i got the uno 4k box

I too spoiled myself with an Ultimo 4K, very pleased with the performance & so far as I am concerned, once you have called something 'Ultimo', how do you get better? Fortunately the wizzy new tuners will be compatible with my box & when the arm chipset boxes are fully supported across the industry I can't see myself needing to 'step-up' for a while.........

As soon as i got my uno 4k i realised that it was not "complete", not only did the drivers need a lot of tweaking but it was obvious that space had been left for further hardware additions, it was like i got a test unit on a alpha image.
That said it still provided the FBC cable tuner i was after, (no one else had one)
VU are still the market leaders but have looked very amateurish in there recent releases, that with there crap remote controls and high prices always make me look elsewhere first. Thankfully the other stb makers are now catching up.

Would the Ultima 4k support HDR10 / HLG support?

the answer to my question is it does support hdr hlg (which is the format adopted by broadcasters in the UK)

hdr10 can be implement via firmware update but I am pretty sure it already supports it as that is more baseline hdr.

Thanks
