Viacom today unveiled one of the thematic channels of British commercial TV channel Channel 5 under a new name. My5 has now been renamed to 5Select.
5Select transmits on original My5 parameters. The new Channel 5Select, as the name suggests, focuses on the best content from Channel 5 and other shows.
Under the original name My5 now only online video on demand service (VOD) works.
The 5Select program is spread uncoded (FTA) via the Astra 2G satellite from a transponder that operates in a British bundle that mainly covers the British Isles. Revenue conditions in different parts of Europe vary by location of income.
