Hi guys.

I already use a VU+ solo2 box in the main room. I am thinking of replacing an Openbox V8s with a VU+ Zero box in the back room.

The main reason is for using IPTV and (for the MRS) the method of controls will be the same for both boxes.

Just a thought!
Can i use the satellite connections to the solo2 and somehow send it to the zero through the network or will the zero need its own satellite connections.

I am getting the idea of how these boxes work but linking up 2 together is a step in the dark for me.

Thanks in advance

You can't share the satellite LNB cable signal over the network. You would need to either:
  1. run an additional loop-through cable from one box to the other, (assuming the main box has that feature)
  2. run a 2nd feed from the dish using a suitable LNB of course.
The 2nd option would be better as it would allow for complete automony of channel contol whereas the 1st option would only allow limited channel control using the same transponders.

The above assumes you are tsalking about single satellite only.
