VU+ Kodi Support Ares Wizard failed install?

Hey I've got the custom openatv v6 all is good but after installing Kodi 17.3 and adding the sources for Ares all I get is failed to install...

I've checked the link and it's working on android and Web, can I ask if I have to add it a certain way?

Updated with new settings for add source

Try this:-
How to install ARES on Kodi 17 Krypton
  • Kodi 17 Krypton download.
  • HOME Screen > Add-ons > Settings button
    cog.png
    > Enable Unknown Sources.
  • BACK to HOME screen > Settings button
    cog.png
    > File Manager
    folder.png
    > Add Source.
  • Enter http://ares-repo.eu/ in the top box > Enter ARES in the bottom box > OK.
  • BACK to HOME screen > Add-Ons > Add-on Browser
    box.png
  • Install from zip file > ARES > repository.aresproject-x.x.x.zip.
  • Wait for Add-on enabled notification.
  • Install from repository > ARES PROJECT > Program add-ons > Ares Wizard > Install.
  • Wait for Add-on enabled notification.
  • Ares Wizard is now installed and ready to use.
  • You will need to get and enter a PIN when prompted - just click the link when you see it.
  • BACK to HOME screen > Add-ons > Program Add-ons > Ares Wizard > Browse Builds > Apollo Builds > Select Your build > Install
  • The build will now download
  • Wait for download > Force close > Power off if required.
  • On reboot - WAIT! It can take 5 mins to fully update. Go grab a beer.
  • Congratulations, Apollo Build is now installed and ready to use.
  • you will need a pin# to download the new build get this
  • New pin location here:-
  • http://ares-pin.eu/pin.php?action=getbuildpin

Thanks for the instructions, but unfortunately I can do all that up in till after I select the repo and get a failed response.

Wookie installed fine, but ares and supreme builds failed?

Can I place the zip using filezilla and load it that way...

hi guys reflashed my vu+solo 2 box with atv 6.1 opened quite nice by the way opened kodi 17.4 installed ares wizard all looks good but when i want to watch any thing say like a film it justs says busy please wait and just hangs there with a little wheel of circle dots going round and round any ideas guys a bit annoying knowing that everything looks good i am running at a speed of 26mb

i get a message saying version check using 17.4 rc1 while 17.4 stable is available
required upgrade to newer version but don`t know how to do this as kodi was already in the atv 6.1 so don`t know if this is something that needs to be updated in the build or can i update kodi within its self if so how do i do that

Ignore the update message as you cannot update Vu+'s version of Kodi yourself.

Reads to me like Kodi may be trying to use its own Mplayer to play movies. This will not work so make sure you have Mediaplayer installed & it works. If you do have mediaplayer installed then I suggest removing it completely and trying again.
 
hi guys finally got ares wizard to work watched a guy on you tube and followed his instructions thought i would put it on here it might help others who may be having problems heres how
download merlin wizard http://mwiz.co.uk/repo installed it then went to tool box fresh start and click on yes bearing in mind this will wipe out all your applications and leave kodi as a fresh start close kodi and open it back up then installed ares wizardhttp://ares-repo.eu it installed straight away with no issues very happy chappy now
he recommended using a vpn don`t know if this is needed let me know your thoughts on this one please does anybody else use vpn anyway guys all working now hope this helps anybody who is having same problem trying to install ares wizard error i was getting was repository not installed please install repository, by the way this was from custom build 6.1 on a vu solo2 so don`t know why this was happening but it seems fine now, may be its something to do with kodi itself but alls good now cheers malcolm

1st Press Menu then scroll down to plugins & press OK. Look in the list. Is Mediaplayer present? If not press GREEN and scroll down to Extensions. Press OK and then scroll down to Mediaplayer, highlight it & then press OK to install it. Once done try to play your movie again.

thats interesting i am having same problem with ares how can i do it through filezilla i have this on my pc and i can log into my box but what file do i use and where do i put in filezilla and then how do i install it please

checked my plusnet router safe guard is off
can this be installed from file zilla if so does any body have a zip file for ares wizard and can please tell me where to put it in filezilla and how to install it from there i have got a pin number but can`t get ares wizard to open gets to install from zip ok addon enabled comes up then when i install from repository doesn`t do anything when i try to open ares wizard jus keep saying repository not installed please install repository
i am setting this up on a vusolo2 http://ares-repo.eu but no joy can you help please

chuck that on /media/hdd

then install from zip - /media/hdd - then that repo

See if that helps

gets to here then does nothing i have left it ten minutes and rebooted device says repository not installed when i click on ares wizard

put the zip I gave on /media/hdd

Go on Kodi
Addons - install from zip - then goto media hdd and then click the repo zip.
 
done that mate put it on hdd and installed ares wizard from there still comes up with repository not installed when i click on ares wizard to open it up
as any body else been having problems with this cos theres a few things on internet
on vusolo2 site saying servers have been taken down
 
can anybody do a build with kodi and ares wizard built in for vu solo 2
having loads of problems trying to get ares wizard installed keep saying repository not installed says add on enabled then i go to install from repository programme addons then
when i go to ares wizard it justs sits there
try to open ares wizard it just says repository not installed
i am using atv 6.1 custom build on a vu solo2 ares wizard http://ares-repo.eu

must have tried this a bout ten times also been getting same message on other builds as well there is no safe guard on my internet also tried this on my brothers internet still getting same error very frustrating
