Arte releases 360° video and virtual reality app
European cultural channel Arte has published an interactive app through which the broadcaster will offer its latest programmes in the areas of 360° video and virtual reality for tablets and smartphones.
With the Arte360 app, viewers can virtually enter the locations of the scenes and select their own perspective, for example at concerts, during landscape impressions and – soon – a balloon flight into the stratosphere. If virtual reality glasses are used, viewers can even virtually become part of the programmes.
The free-of-charge app is available for download for the operating systems iOS and Android.
