Needing input from my fellow colleagues here.

I'm trying to compose my own set of bouquets, but I'm failing miserably; please read on as it's not quite as simple as it sounds...

I have 3 STBs in the house but I'd like to concentrate on the VU Ultimo 4K as it has the tuners and connectivity to handle everything I need... all tuners are internal, and FBC capable....

Tuner A is connected to DVB-C, Tuner I is connected to motorised sat dish.

What I want to end up with is the first set of bouquets containing 28.2 channel numbering (101 = BB1) - which is what I want ABM to do. Second set of bouquets containing DVB-C channels (again ABM does this great)

NOW..... after all that, I'd like the vhannibal.motor settings below all this so that I have some sort of order to other motorised stuff..... AND I also want to add a couple of IPTV bouquets to the end as well.....

Not too complicated eh? lol

The problem is - well I know this is known about but even the current build of ABM chews up the vh.motor settings (once ABM has done it's thing, a lot of the time, channels in the vh bouquets "Cinema - Astra 19.2 - CanalSat" become "<n/a>".

I'm still learning but I *think* this is something to do with the 2 lamedb types (lamedb4 and lamedb5) but I believe this is also a known issue..... I'm sure I've seen reference to it somewhere

There is always the option of using AutoHotKey to automate stuff on the PC, but I don't seem to be 100% as to whether E-channelizer or what program would be capable of doing this? I could set the box to clear all bouquets, download vhannibal - the PC pick up this download, then 5 minutes later, the box clear all bouquets, run ABM, and the PC pick *that* up but then getting it to merge the two different bouquet structures?

Sorry this is a long post for what should seem like a simple objective... or maybe someone has a great idea how to achieve what I'm after without all this messing around lol

Many thanks in advance

DreamBoxEdit or EChannelizer should be able to sort all bouquets and channels as you wish, also make sure for IPTV the option to show unlinked bouquets is on.

Check service references also satellite.xml updated and scan again. <n/a> usually means the channel is missing from lamedb.

I don't use ABM, just manually sorted out my lists years ago, and just carry them on to new boxes with occasional sat scan for new/changed channels.

Because I *have* to run ABM after installing vh.motor (opkg install vh.motor always deletes ABM bouquets) that is making sense.... looks like ABM is annihilating the lamedb :(

I tried removing the lot again, doing an opkg install vh.motor then immediately running opkg files enigma2-plugin-settings-vhannibal.motor | grep lame and it showed me that the motor package includes it's own lamedbv4

So I'm either going to have to learn to drive EChannelizer and make the lists how I want them or start prodding deeper into Enigma to find out exactly what the lamedb file format is and whether I can assemble my own through scripting....

Better put the coffee on.......... :bangd:

What does ABM do for you? Sort out channels same as on a Sky Box? Never used it.

2 things, yes it gives me the 28.2 channel numbering, so 101 = BBC1, but the most important thing it does is that it adds the DVB-C (cable) channels into the mix..... these aren't included in the vhannibal settings file - can't really expect them to be considering it's a satellite settings file :)

OK, well a bit of googling has given me the answer - unfortunately it's not the answer I hoped for

I'm running OpenBH 1.1 (bleeding edge) compiled every night. Well, it's actually well documented about the lamedbv4/v5 changeover..... to the the point that it's mentioned on the official OpenPLI forum that the new lamedb format changed the last field to source_id, and modifying this field to 0 is apparantly a workaround for the N/A problem....

Consider this a warning to those that live on the edge.... sometimes you may fall off the cliff :dancehappy:

Cant you copy the .tv files once you are happy with as a backup, and play around on EChannelizer then, check each channels reference that is missing and you can also select on a drop down menu each satellite and each service and assign it to the missing <n/a>,

The compile is automated.... it's just me that hasn't got a cronjob :snicker:

I actually feel I've got a step closer..... What I did was clear all bouquets & lamedb... init 4, installed vh, made a copy of lamedb, init 3, ran ABM, checked that Sky DE was all <NA>, init 4, replaced lamedb with the backup, init 3 and voila all the satellite channels were fine, but as expected all the DVB-C channels are now <N/A>. So I definitely need my own mucked about version of the lamedb...

Thank goodness for github://oe-alliance/AutoBouquetsMaker/blob/master/AutoBouquetsMaker/custom/README.txt right down the bottom is a lovely little section on the lamedb4 format.....

Some progress then, can you add DVBC channels by hand?

That's kind of what's been getting to me..... I couldn't see any easy way of adding them in any sensible order except for doing a blindscan..... *BUT* you got me on the warpath... and it's resolved.... for now....

This is the most awkward way I've ever done anything but it flippin' well worked!!!!!!!

init 4, remove vh.motor, init 3.... run ABM but set to DVB-C bouquets ONLY..... cp lamedb/userbouquets.*/bouquets.* to new folder "abm_cable"
init 4, rm lamedb*/userbouquets.*/bouquets.*, init 3, run ABM but set to DVB-S2 28.2 bouquets ONLY..... cp lamedb/userbouquets.*/bouquets.* to new folder "abm_282"
init 4, rm lamedb*/userbouquets.*/bouquets.*, opkg install vh.motor, cp lamedb/userbouquets.*/bouquets.* to new folder "vhannibal"

copy all three folders to PC, make new folder "custom".. copy userbouquets.* from all three folders into "custom"
copy bouquets.*, lamedb from vhannibal to custom
open custom/lamedb in notepad++
for the transponders, find the first 282 line, which in vhannibal is: s 10906000:22000000:1:4:282:2:0, then delete the entire section relating to 282 transponders (last line is s 11739000:29500000:1:6:282:2:0:1:1:0:2)

open abm_282/lamedb in notepad++. copy entire transponder section and paste into the already open custom/lamedb
open abm_cable/lamedb. copy entire transponder section and append to bottom of transponders in custom/lamedb

now onto the services records:
in custom/lamedb, search for p:BS*yB.. remembering that the "p:" record is the last line of 3, so go up 2 lines, and again, cut the entire section out.
copy section from abm_282/lamedb, append entire services section from abm_cable/lamedb into custom/lamedb

edit bouquets.tv and bouquets.radio and make sure all three copies from abm_282, abm_cable & vhannibal are merged together under the custom copy

For good luck, grab the userbouqets.iptv.provider.tv from IPTV providers
Stick a reference to these bouquets in bouquets.tv

init 4, copy the whole lot back to the box, init 3, voila...

I really am a sadist.... although it sounds a long process it actually didn't take that long.... but it WORKS!!!!!

Hahahah well done!!! Have spent days on end doing channels, buq. references, picons.

Don't have DVBC so guess that made issues for you to integrate.

Keep 5 backup copies, 1 on floppy too!!! :D
