Networking Support cannot ftp to ultimo 4k

hi, ftp was working last time i tried a couple of weeks ago, but not now. restarted box and router a good few times, still nothing. im using ancient open atv 6.4 as i need to use a python 2 extension. ftp is autostart and running and the box is connected to the wifi as is the laptop. im using flash fxp as i have for many years. if i use a command prompt from the laptop to ping the boxes ip, oddly that works. ive changed the password on the box many times as well, anyone got any ideas?

Ahoj, ftp mi fungovalo naposledy, čo som to skúšal pred pár týždňami, ale teraz už nie. Reštartoval som box aj router niekoľkokrát, stále nič. Používam Ancient Open ATV 6.4, pretože potrebujem rozšírenie Python 2. FTP sa automaticky spúšťa a beží a box je pripojený k Wi-Fi, rovnako ako notebook. Používam Flash FXP, ako to robím už mnoho rokov. Ak použijem príkazový riadok z notebooku na ping IP adresy boxu, zvláštne to funguje. Heslo na boxe som tiež mnohokrát zmenil, má niekto nejaké nápady?

Make sure you have a password set that corresponds to the box password. Blank passwords will not work.

as its atv it has a password and its been changed a good few times, but still no ftp, but thanks for the reply

Backup all your system settings & backup your current image.

i shall give it a go, thanks. the only reason i stick with the last of python 2 is tsmedia still works with rarbg and limetorrents. trouble is yassinov.com appears to be down so i cannot get the 2 apps to reinstall into tsmedia manually. so on a python 3 image does e2i/iptv player or something like it actually work these days?

thanks, did all that and its actually a good image and e2iplayer works, but still no ftp, but for some reason if i stick 6.4 back up on it, ftp works on that. on a different topic, my wife cannot look at the 7.6 image as it does something to her eyes???

I had this & found that the DCC ftp-access was blocked by windows defender firewall which once addresses brought DCC FTP back to life for me.

Reconfigure firewall for DCC access

The ensure DCC is there with both boxes selected as shown:

Set the ftp-type to "passive" in DCC/Config/Experts...
