Hi guys,
I have a small problem. I am using the latest Vix Image, downloaded from Vix Team, and when I try to connect to my router and my STB, VU+ Solo2, the STB connects OK but not my router. The 192.168.etc, etc are correct and so is the username and password. :confused2: When I was running Vix Image, 37 and up to 54 all was OK. Since re=flashing the latest Vix Image my router does not want to connect to DCC. I can Stream, watch Movies, update Settings and all IPK files via VU+ Toolbox, VU Control Centre V0.6. I find DCC easier to FTP. Am I missing something simple.

STB 192.***.***.***
Router 192.***.***.***.
Username=root
Password=dreambox

Any guidance appreciated

Hope you're not using a clone. :rofl:

Here's how I use it. Not even got my router in the frame as it it not important to my successfully using DCC.

Sorry if I am misunderstanding the question but TBH I wouldn't worry about this at all.

If I add the rooooter I get a Telnet error which I know is not down to incorrect credentials but suspect a bug in DCC itself perhaps.

So for me it's a case of ditch the roooter

I think I have sussed out what was the problem. I set, in "Experts", FTP to Passive, and there is now there are connections to both Telnet and FTP. Can't remember ever doing this before. My router is new and only just changed from a TP Link TD-W8980. Looks like something is changed in the router software/hardware. Thank you everyone for your assistance and if I get any more problems I know where to come.

Thanks again

Thanks DirtyDonki. Perhaps in future I should look into further ways of sussing out software/connection probs. When it comes to hardware, ie PC's I have no problems in sussing what went/has gone wrong.

Thanks again

No. DCC is not like Windows File Explorer. With DCC you have to navigate to it because it does not have the special Windows links built into it (maybe because it works at the DOS level?).

To go to your desktop folder you need to select: C:\ then Users then <your username> then Desktop.

It really is a simple as shown in the video above m8. There are only those 2 steps. Then just follow the instructions in post #14 above. I would show the complete process in the video but that would mean my revealing my personal PC details which I cannot do for obvious reasons that I am sure you understand.
