For Bundesliga: BLM approved Eurosport2 HD Xtra
The nationwide distribution of the new Pay TV station Eurosport2 HD Xtra is now at least media right now in dry cloths. The Bundesliga can now be enjoyed in XXL, on which platforms the channel will be seen, has yet to be determined.

As the Bavarian regional center for new media communicated, at its meeting on July 13, 2017, it approved the dissemination of the nationwide TV sector programs Eurosport1, Eurosport2 and Eurosport2 HD Xtra.

Especially Bundesliga fans will be pleased to receive this news. After all, the new pay TV station Eurosport2 HD Xtra will be broadcasting the duels with accompanying pre- and post-reports on all Bundesliga matches. Apart from 40 points, Eurosport will be able to broadcast live and exclusive four relegation parties as well as the Supercup from the coming season.

In order to reintroduce the rights costs for the Bundesligapaket, the games are not shown on the existing channels, but on the newly established channel and the internet offer Eurosport players. Currently, an annual pass for the on-line service costs Euro 29.99 according to Eurosport. This special prize for the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia applies until 31 August. How expensive Eurosport2 HD Xtra is and on which platforms it is to be received is still not in detail.

Sky shows all the other games in full length. Of the 30 Friday games as well as the five games on Sunday (1.30 pm) and on Monday (8.30 pm), the market leader is only allowed to report under the Pay TV channels.

Wie die Bayerische Landeszentrale für neue Medien mitteilte, genehmigte sie auf ihrer Sitzung am 13. Juli 2017 sie Verbreitung der bundesweiten TV-Spartenprogramme Eurosport1, Eurosport2 sowie Eurosport2 HD Xtra.

Besonders Bundesliga-Fans wird diese Nachricht freuen. Immerhin soll der neue Pay TV-Sender Eurosport2 HD Xtra an allen Bundesliga-Spieltagen die Duelle mit begleitender Vor- und Nachberichterstattung ausstrahlen. Neben 40 Punktspielen darf Eurosport von der kommenden Saison an vier Relegationspartien sowie den Supercup live und exklusiv übertragen.

Um die Rechtekosten für das Bundesligapaket wieder einzuspielen, werden die Spiele nicht auf den bestehenden Sendern gezeigt, sondern auf dem neu eingerichteten Kanal und dem Internetangebot Eurosport-Player. Derzeit kostet ein Jahrespass für den Onlinedienst nach Eurosport-Angaben 29,99 Euro. Dieser Spezialpreis zum Bundesligastart gelte bis zum 31. August.
