Edit the file /usr/share/xbmc/system/keymaps/keyboard.xml
and change:

then you can use mute button to grab a screenshot when using the XBMC plugin. If it opens a context menu then you know it works and you can then select where you want the screenshot files saved.

XBMC first looks for keymap files on your hdd in the directory /media/hdd/.xbmc/userdata/keymaps which is empty so if you copy the file from you vu+ flash directory /usr/share/xbmc/system/keymaps/ you can edit that then send it to the hdd location leaving the original intact so you can just delete the one present on hdd if you want to revert the changes.
I have attached the keyboard.xml i edited which some may find handy.
