I've attempted to install the last Black Hole image in the same way as I was using in OpenATV and, when I attempted to install iptables extension, a message said that before install I must do an upgrade to the kernel.
I installed again OpenATV and could install iptables without any problem.
Do you know if it is possible to ask for a kernel upgrade in a next version of Black Hole?

Where are you installing this file from?

I'm not sure but I think iptables is pre-installed in almost any linux and so I typed:
# opkg upgrade
# opkg install iptables
the kernel included in the last version of openatv support iptables and the kernel in black hole does'nt support

On a linux system/server yes but not stb if it was you would not need to type the above.
Is there a specific reason you need this as normally closing all ports to the stb is sufficient, if the version on the BH server is not compatible with their current image then it should be reported so they can fix it. I just tried the same on the latest openspa to test & no problems there.
