hi thank you for your reply i have ordered a usb adapter to see if i can add both drives to the back of my meelo , i have tried to add my movies to plex server but for some reason plex keeps crashing thanks
You buy usb adapter to mount more than one hdd, but you haven't even managed one working yet?

2 slots on Meelo - usb at back and usb at front behind usb.

35meg flash memory left

Just be careful and good luck.

Have you attempted mounting your externals on your network, creating samba share from that so it opens it up to potentially any device you can login from.

I have never done any of that, but i just made my raspberri a NAS drive with a massive 64gb USB 3.0 as an experiment, now I will see if I can connect to that via Kodi on vuuno4k.

All in the name of fun.

Edit - mounted fine, can see my media, but only play via internal player, aint looked at settings or what not as busy.

But may be worth a look

Ok, I have it working 100% and playing fine from a NAS drive I literally made today. With zero previous experience.

Here is what I roughly did.

I set up a 64gb USB on a raspberry pi3 as a samba share/NAS drive, which is now part of my windows network.

I only did above as had no other way, you would most likely need set up your EXTERNAL drives on your network as the same.

I then proceded to mount the nas, media wouldn't play in Kodi until I found this from @DirtyDonki

"/media/net/my network share"
NAS123.jpg
So I mounted with Enigma2 and its it on my network servers now.

Then IN Kodi

Set up Movies - then sources - pointed to my NAS - then jobs a good one.

Works on Kodi 17 on vuuno4k - nvidia shield Kodi 17 also.

Plus IPTV player on enigma2.

I had no build installed, I edited skin from within kodi to just show
Movies (from my library i.e my nas)
Tv shows (same as above)
Addons (be addons I have installed on the device)

So my advice would be, look into adding your externals to a windows network as @Banny I think mentioned, or buy a nas lol.

This was first attempt and have to admit this is oretty cool ha

The "network drive" you make, needs to mounted outside of Kodi.

On the actual enigma2 interface itself.

That's if you use that method.

Or but external in, then try map that external in "kodi" and go one by one.

If its mounted correct, in theory when in Kodi i.e Movies you can

goto roots fileystem - then MEDIA then it will have your network mount i.e /media/net/nas or whatever its called.

if not, have a look/play about.

hi thank you for your replys , sorry to say i cannot seem to get this working on my meelo se , i have got a pc that has a external hard drive connected full of our movies , i have made the hard drive a network drive now when i go to my pc that has kodi 17 on it i do the same as i would on my meelo se skin settings, video menu, video folder, windows network smb, then my desktop-36d3iul,then i drive which has all the movies on it
i click ok and it goes to the submenu on the kodi skin and it works without a username or password , but when i try the same on the meelo it is allways asking for a username and password , even when i had username and password it still does not work , i have allso set up samba share on the meelo se restarted the box and the same thing happens , what i dont understand is that on the network drive i have got it set to everyone who has full control and it still does not work , i have never done anything like this before as i would like to share my hard drive of movies with my friends , but at the moment i am confused thanks for your advice and help
