Key point being up to date, as in online update or even try a different image altogether maybe?

My own image, but everything is upto date.
I have clicked on a 4k movie in phoenix, so it gives me a "instant download" in real debrid *which I wont use.
Its a 70gb file, so the download speed you need will need be high, and also upload from their server would be quick.
Reso was true 4k as it struggled on my laptop, slow mo and choppy, my speeds are lower on laptop and also their owb servers may be overloaded at time of using.
it will be hard for some of these

I was playing 4k movies from Alpha phoenix literally just now.Using Kodi 17.1 and still same 4k movies just will not play ffs.

Was fine, if I fast forwarded after that it was stuttery, but watched all of secret life of pets with no issues.
If your using service app, switch back to "original" player.
If not, look at home networking or try on a different box/device.

so you have used a latest image as suggested prior then? werent you on a masta g image?
Why not try another? your best bet is flash with a brand new image.
Try it and see, rule out some variables.

If so backup images seek scarce in backup section, so either use OpenATV 6.0 latest and then build image if yourself if you know how or fancy learning.
Or you could google "wooshbuild vusolo4k" as that it a full setup sly look image, started at zgemmas but he has image for you model.

Yes, as gst player even via iptv player and opkg install doesn't seem go inside service app.
Although that has help for your 4K problems and above even said turn service app off and use a different image as a test

Feck sake reinstalled openatv-6.0-vusolo4k-20170323_usb build installed kodi from feeds now when i click to run kodi screen goes black then back to plugins browser, I fecking give in.

Why not install a latest image, that one dated March.
But could be due to having corrupted .kodi folder on /media/hdd maybe remove that, but Kodi has been updated in feeds since march anyways.
Maybe be best to reread advice, but on a personal level, maybe using enigma2 boxes best suited to watch channels rather than any media plugins.
As you haven't taken on board alot of the advice, alot of repeating and frustrations ha.
