VU+ Kodi Support kodi buffering

hi I have a vu uno 4k with black hole 3.0.3 and kodi 16.1 I am using a 1tb usb hdd and have the pulse build some things do not play and the ones that do start to buffer and stutter after they have been on for around 1/2hr I was thinking it could be the hhd getting hot
