Kodi menu, settings works great, but, when i try to play a movie (mkv) or music (mp3) i get problems.

All my movies and music i stored on a NAS.

When i choose to play a movie, the media app starts, i get the movie menu buttoms, with play, stop ect, but nothing happen, no movie starts playing, look like i have push the "Pause".

When i try to play music (mp3), the same happen, it don't play, but it looks like, and if i try to go back, with the "Exit" buttom, it returns to play next song, can't get out again.!

I'm sure I already answered this one before. :snicker:

In short Kodi (XBMC) cannot handle the pathnames (or something like that) so the only way to get media to play from external local sources (share or NAS) is to add media via Enigma2's root file system.

Morning DirtyDonki

I tryed this, and the new folders "NAS" is on my VU+ now, does it mean anything, that the network name of my Synology NAS is "Diskstation" and not "Nas", can't get it to work.

Found another easy way to do it.

Nomatter how you have added your movies, FTP, Webdav, SMB ect, choose the movie you wan't to watch, press the "Mute", and choose "Play with" and use "DVDPlayer" and the movie plays.

I find just pressing the 'menu' button works for me but I don't ever need to tell it which app to use. Maybe you could set the player as default player then you won't need to press 'mute' or 'menu' every time.
