Very odd, never seen this after an update myself but I tend to avoid them. If it worked before then it should still work. If you are not seeing any error then this behaviour usually indicates:
- Kodi can't find it's data folder '.kodi' (usually on the HDD or USB but also seen in the RFS recently).
- Kodi installation has got corrupted.
Things to check/try:
- Have you done a full reboot?
- Check the media, where your .kodi directory was originally, has been mounted correctly.
- Uninstall Kodi from the plugins panel, restart & then install it again.
If none of the above fixes things reflash & avoid doing updates unless you have a really good reason for doing so. As per the age old saying, "If it works don't feck with it".
