Display Support LCDLINUX display unable tosetup

I seemed to be getting somewhere at last yesterday. I totally removed the display directory for now. Restart GUI. No change. Went into LCD4Linux changed custom display size, save & restart gui. Eureka, there it is!!! Worked great until I did a system restart and all disappeared again never to return no matter what. Tried copying over the file from post #15 again & followed the same process but now nothing happens at all anymore.
Just wonder if there is something overwriting the setup after a restart?
Going to do a FR and try again. If no dice will do complete new flash.

Reboot the system has nothing to do, everything should remain as you set, something is wrong but what I do not know.

Finally cracked it! Once I ticked these three boxes everything worked again! 
Now to produce some setups for the Ultimo 4k which I am sure would work on the Solo as well. Will post a new thread for this in the skin section so that we all can provide some configs to share.

well it occurred to me that those three files are commented out, but the important amp figured it out.

- Copy config to /etc/enigma2/
- Open web i/f and uncheck all three boxes
- Restart GUI
- Open web i/f and check all three boxes
- Restart GUI
- Adjust to suit
Something else I have found is that although this displays OK there appears to be an error the box-skin setting when selecting 720x405.
This does not actually set that resolution as there appears to be an error in the xml in that the selected option does not match what is provided:
This results in the LCD not displaying fully to the left nor all the way down to the bottom. I have tried to find the file that holds these configs to edit it but so far without success.

Just an update on lcd4linux:
I'm now running openVix and was previously running openBH, the version of lcd4linux that OE have in their feeds doesn't seem to have the upgraded support for box-skin-lcd @800x480 Which was introduced into the version of lcd4linux on the Official / VTi / Blackhole feeds shortly after the unit launched, this is what my lcd4linux was created with and if you have created your own in the same vein you will end up in a boot loop when trying to use it with OE images.
I did mention this in the openBH forum last week, and i have seen people commenting on the same problem on the openATV forum, but as of yet the changes haven't been incorporated.
If you swap from Original based image structure to OE image, back up the LCD4linux plug in folder from the original image, install from the feeds on OE image, put enigma2 to sleep with init4, delete the installed LCD4linux folder, copy the new one and chmod the files to 755, now on restart of the machine your config should work properly formatted to the Ultimo4K screen.

Black display again this morning ...no new config since working...
Deleted plug in lcd linux 4.7 r2 ...Copied Plug in lcdlinux 4.7 r4...from another image....all set up...will see how I get on with that.
What is the latest version for Solo 4k?

Black Screen again this morning...tried everything I know.....need to hear back from a user of OpenBH Solo 4k
Thanks.tried that....configuration ok..but default display still remains on front screen..
unrar and put LCD4linux-20170220_1648.rar into tmp
unrar new folder and put pic in to /media/hdd and use which ever you want for background
