I would like to add that some Solo2 SE's can accept Sunray images and this would then provide a wider choice of newer images.

I would recommend backing up your current image first and then try a Sunray Solo2 safe image. Worst case is image may refuse to fully boot.

Hi ketmp, I would say the later lonrisen V4 version boxs may be ok to try what you say about some sunray vu solo2 se image, but i would not try any others if its the old V2 version box.

I've not heard of any actual lonrison v4 boxes accept Sunray safe images!

This I also know after bicking 1 Lonrinsen box with the upgrade tool.
The Lonrinsen Xteam provided this tool is called the UPGRADE from V2 to V4 and its is utter crap.
I have advised all Lonrinsen v2 box owners never to use the upgrade tool becuase it will not be any good at all as a upgrade and can brick any lonrinsen v2 boxs by trying this tool,

As said its crap and would never advise any v2 lonrisen user to use it if they did download it from the web xteam that provided the tools and images for there boxs.
It Seems they knew it was bad advise and there website have been closed down for quite some time now.

My old vu solo 2 se had Lorinson sticker on motherboard dated 08/2014

Took any image I put on it, original then patched with sunray, so online update, also sunray backup images from here, worked really well.

Actual lorinson images worked poor on it for some reason.


I have come across about 10 people try flash older models i.e 18 months/2 years old and it not take a new flash like ipab or latest images, but easily recovered with the Helios vix image.

But suppose its upto the individual to risk it, if they are unsure or not, but then they have the "safe" images on this thread also :)

Hi thanks I have tried the ipab does not flash the openpli and vix seems to flash but I can't get the sly skin is there any image that's has this installed also kodi if poss

KODI 16.1 RC is in (menu - plugins - download - extensions - VUPLUSKODI)
= only do this after you have sorted a USB or HDD and its mounted at media/hdd.

What error are you getting?

Image is quite old so the feeds for it may no longer be active or they may just be down period at the moment for whatever reason. You could try updating the feed sources via Telnet.

You could also try sourcing and adding the newer source links manually but there is no guarantee then that the plugins found will be 100% compatible.

If all that doesn't work you might have to find a newer image to flash.

I am getting unable to download feeds how can I add the source manually
 
Im having trouble with getting openvix installed on my Lonrisun VU+Solo2SE, black hole and open Pli both work but for some reason when i try and install openvix it just restarts on a loop with no picture. Strange thing is openvix was originally installed on it and working fine.
