VU+ Kodi Support media files from my NAS

Kodi still can't play media files from my NAS (mp4, avi etc...) Is this a know issue?

Map media via 'root' and all works fine. Example:

I set a symlink to point to my NAS in root which cuts down considerably on button presses when adding media sources to Kodi.

ok, so i have it set already. Mine looks like the following
\\10.1.1.5\Root\media\net\2TBNAS\1. TV Series
Files still won't play. It just hangs with a black/blank screen. It look like it about to start playing, but i get nothing.
Any advise?
