VU+ Kodi Addons /media/hdd/.xbmc folder for newbies

Updating the image will not affect your xbmc plugins in any way mate.

something causes them to update especially navi-x, is there a way to ensure they don't, or is it just a case of making a script to restore a backup xbmc folder?

when you get this message can't create directory .xbmc
when you look again, said directory .xbmc will be there but empty , Just open your copy of .xbmc select all files and send over to your box .xbmc, open said folder first as well

is there any easy way to make navi-x use the open blackhole media player , everytime i try and watch something on navi-x it uses the xbmc media player but it always plays in fast forward mode its like its running at twice the normal speed
thanks to this great forum have got everything els running perfectly 1channel genesis streamallthesources phoenix etc
but navi-x has beaten me hopefully some1 can tell me where im going wrong im using the xbmc folder from the 1st

fixed it i didnt realise there was another set of options on navi keep pressing right/more options/set default player/auto select worked for me

thanks for this build never got round to using but this looks ok. just getting script error on navix so going through the post. have i missed something. i just renamed the xbmc on my hdd and sent this over as instructed in post 1 works good just navi please.

Sounds like the navi-x version has updated, have a read of this thread.

yes missed that in the thread like you said no big deal updating. ill uninstall and put 3.8 on.

if you go to uninstall, via the system -> addon menu it will infact downgrade you back to 3.8

It installs to your HDD rather than the image & if your using this pack then will already have it, if you are needing xbmc launcher then install it via the plugin feeds.

just tried the method on a fresh VIX image. 12 files didnt copy and the xmbc couldnt play anything through any addon?
Is there a thread that will give me better direction to set up XMBC/Kodi on my vu+solo2 using VIX latest?

1. Which 'fresh' ViX image would that be please?
2. Which receiver are you using?
3. Did you see this post?
4. 12 files didn't copy? I'd be inclined to copy again until they do but please confirm where you are copying these files to. HDD? Folder ='.xbmc' on the root of the HDD?
5. Don't give up.

The image should not matter as xbmc does not run inside it like a plugin would, cannot state enough how important it it is to use a proper ftp client like Filezilla or WinSCP when sending a large amount of files like this in as if using DCC it will fail every time.
Side note: This post is seriously in need of an update as much has changed/stopped working so please do not waste too much time trying to get things working, we will try to update or even create our own repository asap.
