Best I can offer is a backup image but it's already 025
Open ViX Apollo Build 025 VU+ Duo2 Backup
hey mate, yeah apparently (im going by a random poster) it changed after .23 - so anything after - you get the issue, i really want to know if earlier images worked with recording IPTV....im just downloading a PRE APOLLO image and trying that

its a bit hit and miss but its like that on vix 5.0 too. if you record while watching another iptv channel it records distorted. if you record while watching a sta channel its usually ok but not always.

from reading around on forums it seems to be like that for everyone. i think it has to do with the provider.

yeah it was - the post i found, said that he could record IPTV flawlessly on builds v23 and below, but v24 Apollo broke it, id love to be able to prove or disprove his theory, but i just cannot get the image ANYWHERE, spent a couple of hours last night searching, the closest i found was Donki's v25 custom builld

if it continues, im gonna sell me DUO2 and get a Mutant HD51

well i can record fine i just cant record 2 iptv channels or 1 and wtach another. if im recording an iptv channel i must be watching a channel on a tuner.

its seems ok on my current provider but im only using that provider for less than 24hrs. i set a few recordings last night. i will check later what they are like.

Doing online updates incremented the version as I recall but I very much doubt doing these is still possible is it?
wont it go from version x to the latest anyway, rather than just going up (incrementing) by one version

online updates still possible in some cases. Now on version 5.xx already and that needs a full flash but possible settings restore.Older versions are no more available on vix site.

OK, INTERESTING!!!!! AND GOOD NEWS!!!
SO, with 015 - if u hit record after a few seconds the stream stops....but no break up, the machine doent hang - which is good, you just stop the recording change channel, and then back again - not great but, read on.
NOW heres the interesting bit, and something ive found on my old XTREND 9200 also, so we CAN get good recordings.
IF you hit record, then straight away go to your recordings and select PLAY on the recordING stream it plays fluetly, it ALSO records fluently
SO as long as you remember to do this, you can gurantee yourself a recording !!!!
would be great to test this on .23 to see if something imporved and this WORKAROUND is not even needed
but im happy with this, and dont need to bother with ditching the box.
the other thing is, whats changed (for the worse) in the later images, so that you cannot do this any longer!

EDIT ive also noticed, that if you STOP the play (which is still recording) you can carry on watching it LIVE (but theres only a few seconds in it anyway)
:/

im now trying .24 for the hell of it

SAME RESULT FOR .24
so its a myth about .23 (unless something chnged from 015 to 23 for the good and then back again

NOW going to try very LATEST VIX IMAGE
