OpenATV 5.3 with KODI 17.

PLEASE SET TIME TO UK by MENU - SETUP - SYSTEM - TIMESETTINGS - chose GMT - green to save (thats if in UK)

WARNING and DISCLAIMER - Do not online update, it will overwrite Kodi and may cause to not boot (based on when I tried on 2 others) image is all up to date and has Kodi 17 working and a pre configured IPTV player so no need to update if just using to see how it it is.

It is a BETA, so USE at OWN risk, however this is running sweet on my box while setting it up.

Features

Kodi 17 (again refer to https://vuplus-images.co.uk/index.php?threads/kodi-16-1-few-good-working-addons.17512/)
Pre configured IPTV player
CCcam 2.3.0
Mgcamd 145a
Oscam 11274
cacheflush
Sky.new skin
Slyk latest skin with EPG TAB but no infobar picon on this to keep size down
SkyQ skin latest but with infobar preview picons for that in USR/SHARE/ENIGMA2/SkyQ

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before anything, I suggest setting up your USB or external hdd first before using any plugins especially Kodi.

SET UP A USB OR HDD

Put new USB/HDD in back of sat box
Turn on box

Then

Menu, setup, system, storage devices, Initialise.
Menu, info panel, plugins - mount manager - setup mounts - change to /media/hdd green to save (just in case not mounted correct)
Then save then restart box.
Menu, setup, epg, settings, epg location – change to /media/hdd
Menu, setup, crossepg, configure, storage device – should be your USB
Menu, setup, recording and timeshift settings, recording settings, default movie location - /media/hdd/movie, green to save
Menu, setup, recording and timeshift settings, timeshift settings, timeshift location - ./media/hdd/timeshift/, green to save
Auto start timeshift after – disabled
Green to save

Softcam configs locations below.

cccam.cfg is in usr/keys (cccam softcams)
newcamd.list is usr/keys (mgcamd softcams)
oscam.server is in /etc/tucbox/config
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scanning and epg

Using autobouquets maker for scanning, set up for 28.2

It is set to scan at 4am and to London custom.

Cross epg all set up for 28.2E and set to populate at 04:10am

Sky sports 5 ROI is also in sports bouquet.

Hi Danny,

My box won't flash this. The light just endlessly dim on and off. Eventually when i switch it off and restart taking the USB out it goes back to the image i had before.

What can be the issue?

Thanks

You have vusolose v2?
Is folder on fat32 formatted usb stick? just the yellow vuplus folder, not the actual zip file?

Yeah I've got a vusolose v2
Formatted the usb to fat32 and got file extension
Extracted the zip and uploaded to the folder direct to the usb

Your OpenPLI 5.0 Danny187build worked perfectly on it.

I am installing into openmultiboot now to test, but if not will flash tomorrow, it was fine.

maybe reformat usb, put folder on, reflash but leave i longer as a bigger file.

Oh how did you find the danny187 build on OpenPLi?

Just tried reformatting the usb and left it for over 10 mins still same result.
Same thing happens for all of the other backups images you put up apart from the danny187 build which i found weird...

Yeah was good mate, was liking it but not sure if its the skin or the build, but felt as if i couldn't fine tune the menus and shortcuts as much as i could on openATV so wanted to get that working. Plus i've got openATV on the zgemma and its works well.

So all backups apart from that one works for you, maybe try a new usb.

I just put this in OPENMULTIBOOT, it works fine, booted straight up, pic below shows on BBC ONE HD with no signal due to my single feed being in Tuner B and the image set up at boot for tuner a and b active.

I suggest, looking at how you flash or use different usb, as the other have been used many times also.

Whats the best way to flash?

Just tried another usb and still getting the same outcome. Only the danny187 build seems to work.
This backup image i'm trying to flash just seems to be stuck in this flash cycle.

Danny got a new usb and tried that. It's worked a dream! Just setting it up for DVB-C and then going to put it through its paces!
Thanks for your help!

Danny, the crossepg won't work beyond 24hrs.
Is there a way of removing the 28.2E as i'm using cable?
There is nothing in the OpenTV providers but in the providers start order the satellite one seems to be there...

In crossepg - configure - change auto populate to NO - so it doesn't scan no more.

I set all my boxes for 28.2 as that's what I have, if I had dvb-c I would set it up for that also.

But I have a good pal who tests my images on dvb-c he just ZAPS to VM preview channel for 5 minutes daily at say 3am

Then he has epg all sorted.

Danny, Figured it out. As i'm using cable and opentv uses the transponder it can't locate the satellite settings as there is no dvb-s.

Is there any way you would be able to backup an image with the crossing satellite opentv deactivated/unselected?

Menu - setup - EPG/usage and gui - crossepg - openatv provider untick and green to save. Or just uninstall the the plugin

Menu - plugins - remove (red) - system plugins - crossepg

Ill give an honest answer - it could be codec? i.e a h.265 codec when vusolose doesn't have that.

But I have never used a NAS drive at all, so maybe this question is best to ask on a different section of forum where people with a NAS and/or someone who has experience in them can aid further than I can personally in my thread.

Sie schreiben aber gut englisch. :snicker:

In Kodi you have to map a drive to your NAS media via the root file system else it will not play because the unc path becomes too long for it. Don't ask me why but that's the fact of the matter.
