Custom Build VU+ Solo 4K OpenPLi 5 (master-next) for test

OpenPLi 5 (master-next) for test

A few have asked for this so thought i would give it a bash & now need some help from Solo4K users to test this.

Feeds are built & i hope working if not please post the output of opkg update in telnet, no kodi in this version sorry but i had problems building with the mx3L vuplus layer so instead built just the basic image.

If all ok i will then rebuild this with extras but atm this is just the stock image so things like mount manager, ABM ect will need to be installed from the feeds.

@Ten Below I got your OpenPLI 5 image for VuSolo4k and it works fine.
But "opkg update" won't work. I guess you have to add the feeds?
It's a bit important for me because I want to install openvpn.
Let me know if we can add the feeds somehow to be able to install packages from opkg. Or if you can build it with openvpn.

Try the latest build then i have a Solo2 version of it where it is there.

I can try it, but I have a slight problem.
My dish is motorised, so every time I install an image, I have to set up the positioner again, and scan for channels, and it takes too much time.
Is there any way to backup the tuner settings and the positioner settings? ( satellites, index etc )

Yes, Menu >Plugins >AutoBackup



Press yellow to manually create a backup & from then on these settings are auto applied on first boot after flashing.

I have only ever used it with HDD but you can certainly change the location with L/R, if for any reason autorestore did not work after that you can run a restore via usb manually by pressing menu after opening the plugin.

They are auto restored on first boot after flashing if not look at post #38 above, on hdd for me every time i make small changes it allows me to reflash & have everything restored as soon as it boots saving a load of earache from the wife lol.

Ok thanks so feeds are fine now but openvpn is not present on the Solo4K feeds, do you have a tested & working IPK for your box because i can easily add to the feeds saving any need for you to reflash with further builds. I really do appreciate your help with this @blackjim so you more than deserve the colour change.
