VU+ Solo SE Backup Images OpenPli 5 w/ IPTV player, sky look interface. (vusolose v2)

OpenPli 5 - Master built and compiled by @Ten Below so I thank him for making image for many devices as a test.

I have since added stuff to make a pre built backup, I wont pretend to be an OpenPli expert, so please only use this if you fancy trying it or know the menus in Pli, but I like it.

After flashing I advise you setup a USB or external HDD as first point of call. (as in straight away)

Menu - setup - system - harddisk - INITIALISATION - do that. THEN
Menu - setup - system -mount manager - press menu - change mounts to MEDIA/HDD then OK to save - then restart box.

Download an extension called Pau.

Menu - plugins - download - extensions - pau.

Also (but bare in mind it takes memory, so make sure you have big usb or hdd mounted correct)

Menu - setup - system - user interface - AUTOMATIC START TIMESHIFT - change from disabled to 30 seconds. green to save

(only do if have a large usb/hdd connected and mounted correct)

That settings allows for a channel to be rewind after being on it for 30 seconds.

Thanks to few members mentioning this addon also.

After giving myself a headache, for which is a very simple task, here is how to make epg button graphical epg (again I thank Ten)

Menu - setup - Hotkey - Info (epg) - remove event details - click Graphical epg - green to save.

I'm struggling to get crossepg to work...is it a no go with openpli? If so I'll stop messing around and stick with epgimport.

Epg import is all set up, just need press yellow when in plugin.

It's crossepg I was talking about I'm fine with epgimport I was just trying to get crossepg to work. No major difference happy enough to stick with epgimport.

Ive got pretty much everything working perfectly except Timeshift and pause. I just get a black screen when I press pause and it won't rewind either. Ive always used openatv so finding my way round on openpli is a mare.

Hi, sorry I won't lie I not 100% sure on timeshift as I never actually tested it, can't check currently.

Ill be honest this was more of an experimental image, so not 100% sure I will keep on page yet.

I like OpenPLi zappiness and quick interface, but I am an OpenATV man, I have a couple of them in backups if you wanted to try instead.

The image must be built with a patch to make crossepg to work on PLi but as the installed importer does a better job (imo) just stick with that as you are wasting your time trying to make it work on this build.

Funny enough my answer was here, its pau (never heard of it before) after installing it from the feeds I have full timeshift and recording working perfectly.

Definitely sticking with epgimport - thanks for saving me time on that Ten

Thanks again Danny I'm sticking with this for a while it is zappy and a very nice interface especially the Full HD Night skin. Never thought I'd like openpli so much!

Record is fine.

All good now mate I already had my timeshift set to 10 seconds which works good for me
its spot on now after installing pau? Not sure what it is but now I can rewind live TV/ pause etc - full Timeshift capabilities

No it will not as this is totally different box and image structure

vusolose v2 my box, image structure is for vusolose

Is your's actually vu+ solo clone or is its vu+solo 2 se (which is clone of vu solo 2 image structure)

I would look in relevant sections for your box, be best bet.
