OK. See what you did there.
Go on to your hard drive into the picon folder and create a new folder and name it SkyQ. So basically the same instructions as before just substituting hdd for usb:
Then they should appear. Can confirm this works for me.

SkyQ Preview Channel Picons (USB Recommended)
Download and Extract the attached SkyQ Preview.rar file
Create a folder name SkyQ media/usb/
Copy the downloaded folder inside named picon to media/usb/SkyQ/
FTP Password: vuplus-images
didn't notice my setup was wrong like boshay's so I tried a few things then when naming the file I called it SkyQ full caps on S and Q and little on k and y and then switched off and on at back and it works for me

Sorry guys,
Totally baffled with the picons situation. The instructions appear a little misleading.
From what you have written, you recommend using a USB stick, creating a file on it and transferring the contents of Sky Q preview onto it (which contains picons). How do you now get the VU receiver to read the USB stick ?
Judging by the questions on this thread regarding the picons I am not the only one struggling with this issue.
What happens to the other download file titled 'Picons' ?
Ten Below thanks for posting Open HDF5.5 (with Skyskin) for me, but unfortunately it's a little unstable and crashed several times on me, therefore I have now loaded Open Vix 4.2 with Chabu's Sky Q skin and loving it.
Finally a big thank you to Ten Below and Dirty Donki for all the hard work you put into these forums, it's much appreciated.
Chris

On the usb you need a picon folder as well as a SkyQ folder containing the preview icons, look at the bottom of post #4 here for the authors instructions.Sorry guys,

Updated - Sky Q Skin By Chababu - DOWNLOAD ONLY!!!
I use normal picons in
Media/HDD/picon they ones I will find in EPG, channel list, small corner in infobar (not the big icon)
Then i download skyq preview picons, unzip then transferred the name me "picon" from with that zip to
Usr/share/enigma2/SkyQ
So it will look after transfer if file
Usr/share/enigma2/SkyQ/picon
That will then put the big picon on infobar on sky q skin, if you use autobouquets e2 for scanning make sure channel numbers to EPG in pre scan says no, as they don't appear for me if I have channels numbers as yes.
Just my take on it, but I recommend doing what ten said above, have a look at that thread.

Sorry Ten Below,
I must be the thickest Forum member on here, as post 4 and post 5 appear to me to be questions and answers about Kodi.
Chris
p.s. The instructions still don't make sense to me, so I'll just have to give the Picons a miss. Shame really as setting up Openvix was a breeze for me.

Hi,
Success, I used DCC and went to Usr/Share/enigma2/SkyQ on the VU+solo2. I then unpacked the two downloaded folders (Sky Q Preview and Picons). I opened these and was left with two folders (Picons and Picon) which I then FTP'd into the Usr/Share/enigma2/SkyQ folder.
All is now working properly.
Thank you Ten Below and Dirti Donki for your patience.
The process is quite easy to carry out, but I found the instructions given quite difficult to understand.
Thanks anyway
Chris

Hi, I installed this image, it eventually booted up and tried to display BBC Scotland (tune failed). My remote control has stopped working with my Solo2. I re-installed the image and once again the first channel it tried and failed to tune into was BBC Scotland.
I then started to flap and searched how to pair the Vu+ remote with the Solo2.
I held 2&7 then pressed 0001, the remote still won't work on the STB but is okay with the TV.
I then thought maybe the settings from the "image doner" box remote was different (eg. my solo2 remote won't work on my solo zero despite both remotes being identicle).
I then installed stock image 4.2.026. I had to download a remote control app for my phone to start setting up the box.
Sorry for the waffle, is there a way to pair the remote to the box?
Thanks.
