So how can i build a bootvideo?

So here we go:

A note to all vu owners who prefer a fast booting box.
This plugin is used to display a small video when booting, which of course will delay the boot process.


However, if you are into small animations during the boot process, you can easily display them with the plugin.

The idea is not new, and already existed for VTi and openATV.

installation
is very easy. You copy the deb to / tmp and install it via offline installation via the software administration,
or via the console with the command dpkg -i /tmp/*.deb.

Location of the boot video
The boot video is saved to usr / share under the name bootvideo.mp4.

exchange the boot video
If you want to replace the default boot video with another boot video, copy your favorite boat video just for
/ usr / share under the name bootvideo.mp4, done.

where can I get boot videos?
Boot videos are e.g. here in the board, or you create your own small videos in mp4 format: D.

If you only want to display the boot video, simply rename the backdrop.mvi under / usr / share / dreambox-bootlogo.

Ein Hinweis an alle Dreamboxbestitzer, die eine schnell bootende Box bevorzugen.
Dieses plugin dient dazu, beim booten ein kleines Video anzuzeigen, was dann natürlich den Bootvorgang verzögern wird.



Wer aber durchaus auf kleine Animationen wärend des Bootvorgangs steht, der kann diese mit dem Plugin ganz einfach anzeigen lassen.


Die Idee dazu ist nicht neu, und existierte ja bereits schon für VTi und openATV.

Installation
ist denkbar einfach. Man kopiert das deb nach /tmp und installiert es per Offline-Installation über die Softwareverwaltung,
oder über die Konsole mit dem Befehl dpkg -i /tmp/*.deb.

Speicherort des Bootvideos
Das Bootvideo wird nach usr/share unter dem Namen bootvideo.mp4 gespeichert.

austauschen des Bootvideos
Möchte man das Default Bootvideo mit einem anderen Bootvideo ersetzen, kopiert man sein Lieblingsbootvideo einfach nach
/usr/share unter dem Namen bootvideo.mp4, fertig.

wo bekomme ich Bootvideos her?
Bootvideos gibt es z.B. hier im Board, oder ihr erstellt euch eigene kleine Videos im mp4 Format

Möchte man nur das Bootvideo anzeigen lassen, dann einfach das backdrop.mvi unter /usr/share/dreambox-bootlogo umbenennen.

I agree with DD, about the Neat Video's, but when your particular Sat Box needs to 'Re-Boot' New Software Loading, etc. I want my Sat Box to be quick at 'Boot Time.

thanks for the quick response. What you answered me is probably worth your backup. but I'm interested in making my bootvideo set in backup that I'm creating. this is what I'm interested in. I would be grateful for your response to what I would like to see a video tutor in my backups.
