Hi,

Can anyone tell me why this is happening on my Vu+ Solo 4k with Blackhole 3.0.5 L on it?

I have OSCAM 11425 ARM for solo 4k installed and configured. Both top and bottom readers are exactly the same except for the device parameter. It is configured for for Canal Digitaal which uses satellite 23.5 E and Ident 00006A

Everything (finally!!) works well, but my authentic Canal Digital card will only work in the upper slot of my solo 4k.

Why?? That cost me half a day! I had the card in the lower slot and could not get any picture. Finally in despair I moved it to the upper slot and bingo! A picture!

Why??

Are there other parameters which influence the choice of slots? Or is this a Vu+ Solo 4k hardware problem?
Any ideas? The Readers are as below.

Thanks in advance for any comments.

Thank you for your contributions! That really helped!

- It is not a matter of which image I am using, it is a question about readers in oscam and / or possible Vu+ Solo 4K deficiencies.
- And what is "oscam modern"?

I wish that people who just do not have the knowledge to answer a question would not bother to post these "helpful" replies!

A knowledgable answer may help some one else in the future.

Anyhow, thank you for your replies, you have added your voice and added to your reply score.

Hi
use loadbalancer
Loadbalancer
lb_mode

loadbalance mode

Attention: If load balancing is activated here, it may in oscam.server among services and ident are no entries!

lb_mode = 0 loadbalance disabled, ECMs go to all readers
lb_mode = 1 fastest reader first, after 5 ECMs the reader with the fastest response time will be selected
lb_mode = 2 oldest reader first, reader with the longest no answer
lb_mode = 3 lowest usage level, the usage level will be calculated by the sum of 5 ECMS response times, the higher a reader is busy, the higher is usage level
lb_mode = 10 LB is switched off, but statistics are build

Thank you bellejt and titau for your input.
I replaced my oscam.server with that of bellejt and tested by changing parameters so that both readers had the same values:
cmwhitelist = 0100@00006A:64
ident = 0100:000000,00006A
group = 1
auprovid = 00006A

Tried also to change group into both 2, both 1, 1 & 2

Finally added lb_mode = 0 to both readers

Result: Only with my CD card in the top slot (device = /dev/sci1) do I get a picture.

Possible conclusion is that it must be a hardware thing on my Vu+ Solo 4K unless my CD card requires it to be in the top slot (not very logical). Or there is some other parameter somewhere which points to the top slot.

Anyway, thanks for the response but my question as to why this is happening remains open.

"tried card with chip up and down in slot ?"

Just tried that now. No success. Picture only in TOP SLOT with card faced DOWN.

(After I tried it in the lower slot, chip up and down, no picture. I went back to the upper slot and no picture, up or down! Tried multiple times to refresh the cam without success, no picture! After about 1/2 hour of trying, suddenly got a picture; Upper slot, chip down. Somehow I must have upset the decoding by going to the lower slot. I want a working CCcam back (The arm version 2.3.2(?) did not work for me). On my Vu+ duo and V+ Duo 2 with CCcam I did not have these problems!)

Anyhow, thanks for your replies.
