Please don’t say read up on the site I have, I have spent a week trying to get my box working but as there is so much information I am getting lost.
I have VU+ Solo2 with USB Cable tuner attached everything was working after 3 months in to my sub of 12 months the person supplying my cline cut me off.
I was using OpenATV 6.1 Custom Build image by Ten Below from this site, this was the best time to update my box with a new Image.
I have downloaded the new Custom Build OpenATV 6.3 Sly-Look Build – July 2019 and have installed it. I have managed to get the Cable tuner working and have scanned all the channels.
I have a test line from a friend who says to use mgcamd 1.38. I have downloaded the ipk file from this site and have installed it on the box but how do I start the ccam. It does not come up as an option when I press the blue button.

ATV softcams have changed recently remove the ipk version you installed & instead install from the plugin feeds which contain the updated versions, you will then find softcam manager via the blue button.

Still, need help can someone give an indication as what to do next.
I have as directed by Ten Below removed ipk version and installed from the plugin feeds. From the softcam manager, I have downloaded mgcamd 1.45a which seems to be similar to what my friend recommends just a higher number which I assume means an updated version.

The friend has sent an oscam.server file inside the file is a line something like this "C: dog.someone.net,12345 name-1234 56789101" which I assume is my cline which i have copied to my CCcam.cfg file and then copy it to / usr/keys/ as I am using OpenATV.

But still not clearing the channels.

can I please get one on one help here, after I install from the plugin from the feeds what is my next step, which softcam do I install?

No CCcam.cfg is only for the CCcam softcams, for mgcamd you need to add it to the cccamd.list file so follow this.

After installing MGcamd you will find the config files at /usr/keys/ edit the file named mg_cfg making the following changes where needed.

# network mode, use summ for several clients
# 00 no network (default)
# 01 newcamd netclient
# 02 radegast netclient
# 04 camd3 netclient
# 08 gbox netclient
# 32 cccamd netclient, card list saved as /tmp/cccamd.info
# (ECM only, supported server version up to 2.1.1, later not work)
G: { 32 }

# Log option, summ of:
# 00 off
# 01 network udp log
# 02 log to console
# 04 file, appended ! delete it by yourself, before it eat all your hdd
# + IP udp-port log-file-name
L: { 00 }

# box type
# 00 autodetect, change only if you think wrong type detected.
# 01 dbox2
# 02 dreambox
# 03 triple-dragon
# 04 relook
# 05 openbox
# 06 dreambox/mips
# 08 stapi/kathrein
# 09 stapi/ipbox
# 11 stapi/openbox
B: { 06 }

Your cline should be pasted into the file cccamd.list after this it should be good to go,

Still strugling there are no files in /usr/keys.

Is there a step by step guide on how to setup solo2 with usb cable tuner. i.e. what files do I need to install from the softcam feeds is just the one MGcamd or are there additional files I need to install?

Use the attached files then just edit cccamd.list.
