As per the 1st post the root pussword is:
Code:
vuplus-images
Been so long it might be time for me to try VTi again coz it really is a great image. :D

sorry mate its not happening and no idea why as it worked with other images.

This is the guide i used b4:-

1- First , Download putty in google search ...
2- Second , Install putty.
3- open putty .
4- typing host name : local ip address for box
5- Connection type setting : Telnet
6- Enter
7- type the password root
8- Copy the URL
9- press enter
10- wait for installation
11- check your bouquets "favourites"
12- there should be a new bouquet called ..................
13-select a channel ;-)

User is root
password is vuplus-images
Try using SSH as that is what I use and as shown above it works for me. See below for how I'm setup.

Thanks for this.

I have used putty before without any issues and have just discovered I cant connect to my box with either FXP or putty - so I have an access problem i reckon.

Nope - no joy im afraid.

Putty wouldn`t work so I went back to the Vti Image and putty worked fine.

Admin edit: text removed on VOD IPTV as the Op has posted this also posted this in the correct support section.

OIC now I missed the 'older version' bit.

That is very weird. Must be something they have missed off or amended then. I will get hold of the latest VTi and see if I can tie this down and post an updated backup if I find a fix or it is fixed. Still doesn't explain why it works OK for me though. Suspect it may have been fixed in one of the updates applied since it was originally flashed but as you are the 1st person to report this think it has gone unnoticed. Especially by me as I use Windoze. So thanks for raising this.
