VU+ Remote Questions Remote not turning on

Running a vu+duo2 with open black hole image.The remote works perfectly apart from when I try to power the box back up after shutting down.The indicator flashes on the screen but the receiver does not power up,I have to flick the on/off switch at the rear to restart.This has only started recently.

It's a 'feature' to promote health through exercise.

Only happens on some images but is it perfectly normal behavior.
