For those who are familiar with OpenSPA images this is based on the principal used by that Team but to have current program information scrolling instead of the channel.

Why? Simply because some program data can be quite long and as such can only be partially shown on the VFD. With scrolling enabled one can review all the program data as it scrolls across. I just got fed up with seeing partial information. It annoyed me. So I fixed it.

The file in the attachment 'skin_display.xml' needs to be copied over to:

Code:
Please, Log in or Register to view codes content!
Remember to always back up or rename before you try anything new!

Only tested on OpenATV, OpenViX Hades for DUO2 so far. So invite other STB users to try and report back please.

NOTE: Does NOT work on Black Hole Images but does on Open Black Hole!

Will test other images when I have time but expect this to work on any image that uses the display folder (ViX, VTi).

Here is one for Black Hole. Tested on 3.0.1.

Slightly different from the generic one in post #1, as the file that controls the VFD is kept in:
Code:
Please, Log in or Register to view codes content!
Here is the extract for those who want to edit and play with this themselves:
Code:
Please, Log in or Register to view codes content!
Note: There are a few more entries in the xml file that have been edited for positioning purposes. Users are advised that they may need to adjust these as well depending on what they wish to change.

In addition to the skin_user.xml file one needs to add the renderer which goes in:
Code:
Please, Log in or Register to view codes content!
Note: If files of the same name are already in the destinations ALWAYS rename them before overwriting.

Both files required are in the attachment.
