VU+ Kodi Support Struggling with Kodi - OpenATV

Hi,

I've made my own image as I prefer to do it that way (OpenATV 5.3), and I've installed Kodi and changed to the aeon nox 5 skin to set it up the way I like. Except I keep getting a skin shortcut error meaning I can't actually set it up the way I want to because it plain won't let me.

But I only have 16.1 release candidate, is that what's causing the problem? How can I solve the issue?

Yes, I had same and not looked into it, my theory was its not a "full"Kodi and probably lacks some sort of python script, I use confluence and add 5 items to home shelf, or use AMBER skin, then can add 10 addons to homeshelf and hide all tabs dont wanna see.

On Amber you can add ADDONS as favourites, then you can put them on the skin bar that way.

I believe there is few skins that I can think off the top of my head that does not skin shortcuts.

1 - AMBER I use this, very quick, nice skin.
2 - Xonfluence, a skin found online, editable, may be ok.
3 - Aeon MQ6
4 - 4Quartz

Worth a look and play and about.

Ok, since mentining MQ6 I just put it on my hdd, then installed from zip (took a while to install) and edited it quickly to show that editing works, added addons on bar and a vusolose background.

Its is rather complicated and differs from other skins, but on a very quick setup works well.



I put this zip on my media/hdd then on kodi installed from zip, took about 10 minutes as randomly installed few different things, then a pop up come up to change to that skin.

Or just keep it simple like this on confluence or amber skin.

That keeps it nice and light, fast and works well on enigma 2 box.

Hi mate, it runs kind of slowly when I'm going through exodus but I have a feeling that's probably the add on rather than the skin because flicking through *most* menus is absolutely fine.

Yes, not a zippy as an android box/windows etc, but few decent addons on there and jobs a good un, keep it light and runs alright.

In exodus settings - change scrapers timeout to 20 seconds opposed to 30, helps speed little things up also.
