Sky prepares the first broadcast of the new art and culture channel "Sky Arts HD". Via satellite Astra 19.2 ° East are already receiving the first pictures of the new HDTV channel. Airing on the frequency 11.170 MHz H (SR 22000, FEC 3/4, DVB-S2 / 8PSK). Although currently only runs a demonstration program, the transmitter is encrypted and can only be received with Sky subscription.
"Sky Arts HD" presented from 21 July 2016 21:00 shipments from the artistic and cultural world with an emphasis on programs of Photography, Architecture, Urban Arts, visual arts, literature, dance, classical music and concert broadcasts.
Among the first programs to launch of "Sky Arts HD" includes, inter alia, Sky-productions like "Master of Photography", "Salt of the Earth" and the Oscar winner "Amy: The Girl Behind The Name".
In-house productions such as literature format "Chaptering" provides Sky Arts HD Self-production German-language authors behind successful books before: Moderator Florian Wagner interviewed and in addition to authors themselves and the people around them. After the first two episodes of the authors Rita Falk and Nele Neuhaus is the third episode deals with the fantasy world of Wolfgang Hohlbein.
"Sky Arts HD" is first enabled for all Sky customers in Germany and Austria by 23 January 2017 after Sky Arts HD will be marketed in the Sky Entertainment Package.
Sky Arts HD can be received via satellite, selected private cable operators and IPTV. Which cable and IPTV providers should there be, in, Sky told not to. Broadcasts of "Sky Arts HD" will be provided for Sky customers via Sky Go and Sky On Demand for retrieval.
