UPC CEE DTH platforms offer FilmBox Extra HD
Direct-to-home (DTH) customers of Liberty Global subsidiary UPC in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania have been offered the FilmBox Extra HD channel to its premium movie channel offer.
UPC DTH operates its services under the brand name UPC Direct in Hungary, in the Czech Republic and Slovakia under the brand name freeSAT and in Romania under the FocusSat brand. The pay-TV operator’s service is now available to UPC DTH subscribers with the Filmbox Pak along with three other premium movie channels: FilmBox Premium, FilmBox Plus and FilmBox Family. Filmbox Extra HD channel is uplinked to Telenor’s Thor 1° West satellite and will be available for multiple territories.
UPC DTH and Filmbox have already been important partners in satellite distribution in the region. In light of the increasing Filmbox Premium subscriber base, UPC DTH and Filmbox are currently running a promo campaign in the Czech Republic and Slovakia offering each new UPC DTH subscriber the Filmbox Pak with attractive offers.
“The launch of FilmBox Extra HD is strengthening our Filmbox premium package on UPC DTH, which now includes four unique movie channels.
