clasicrock i have added it the the multimedia plugin section of our addons panel, if it complains about any dependencies let me know but from what i recall worked right out the box on VTi 8.2.3.

Yes, you can and you can find it HERE but if you install the VuPlus-Images panel then you don't really need it because I am not sure it is kept up-to-date anymore.

ibcrypto.so.0.9.7 was added & correct permissions set so no need for the symlink.

/usr/lib is correct (permissions 755)
