Wish i could help more mate but without knowing if the box is original or if not the clone version its near impossible to advise what steps to take to recover it. Do you know where it was purchased from?

Great news reelspin i was in the process of uploading an older image for you to try when you did reply, If your box is original it means you need this to use the latest images.
The CFE image of Vu+ Solo is updated.
(Attatched below)
The main difference from the old one is supporting the large size image more than 48MB.

Please see the detailed explanation of update as below.
  1. Unzip the solo_cfe_2.0_usb.zip to USB stick. (There should be /vuplus/solo/cfe_cfe_auto.bin)
  2. Insert USB stick into the USB port of solo and power on the box.
  3. It takes just a few secs to update.
  4. If solo's front led blinks continuously, restart box.
  5. To proceed with image update, you should delete the cfe_cfe_auto.bin at /vuplus/solo in USB stick once bootloader update is finished.
If not original then flashing this may well brick it, made in Korea & the info given means there is a good chance it is original but i would not like to say 100% it will be so if you do take the chance & flash the update its at your own risk mate.
