Picons Support Vu+ Ultimo 4K picons help

After flashing 3.1.0 Blackhole and adding My favourite plugins (did not want to use My previous backups)

What is the best set of picons to use nowadays hdd/usb Storage or onboard? I display them in LCD also

Depends on what you do with your VU+
It has enough internal RAM to use, if you don't do anything else as storage in the flash.
I use my Picons in the flash, and it is very fast too

I agree all depends, the box has lot's of storage, if it's only picons for one or two satellites then storing in internal flash isn't a issue, but for a motorised setup with thousands of picons then you might want to think about usb storage, also with storing picons in a usb, as long as the usb doesn't die you will have all your picons available, even after changing images or a image crash etc.

I do have a motorized dish and I have no problems with my picons in the flash.
I keep a backup on my PC.
There is also a big disadvantage or downside when using a USB, I had this before on a VU+DUO2, where the USB kept on warming and forced stoppages or freezers

Yes true there is plenty of space internally, but I have 20,000 picons at the moment, many of which are 400x240 at about 1.5gb, so prefer them in my usb, never had a issue with usb warming up that it freezes.
