LCD Support vusolo4k - Thin line down LCD

hi guys have just being away for week came back and switched on box there as a line come on the lcd screen how can i get it clear its like a thin white line any help please guys

Looks like part of the screen matrix has died. This could be down to something as simple as a loose cable or down to the display driving cicuitry or the LCD itself.

When you power it on does the line remain? I suspect it does but probably less noticable. Either way, if it is a new box, it should get fixed under warranty. So time to call your dealer.

You could try a different image or go into LCD4Linux and reset the displays but I doubt any of that will fix it but I would be inclined to open the lid up and just reseat the ribbon.

Yes, this is from a Ultimo 4K but I suspect it will be similar in the Solo 4K.

Not normally because you would be expected to fit a HDD yourself if you wanted to but yes, of course, on the Solo 4K it has its own slot at the rear for this, so no real reason for you to open the lid. Unless you can be careful and there are not obvious 'tamper' lables I'd be inclined to call them first anyway. They might just tell you to try reseating the cable as well but TBH unless you or someone has been in there or the box has been manhandled a lot reseating it is a bit of a long shot anyway.

Relatively new box? Still under warranty? If so then dealer time. If not then live with it or think about sourcing parts for it but it won't be easy nor I suspect cheap. Might still be worth approaching the dealer for advice/quote.

Unusual to see this I must say. Had so many boxes now that had LCD's (DM & Vu) over many years & never seen this happen. I must be lucky I guess.
