All Football World Cup 2018 Games in Ultra HD & HDR
The World Football Federation FIFA announces that for the first time all 64 games of the Football World Cup 2018 will be produced in Russia in Ultra HD & HDR. At the same time the TV stations are available in 1080i and 1080p.
37 cameras will be used for each WM game, eight of which are dual output (UHD / HDR and 1080p / SDR), and a further eight with dual output (1080p / HDR and 1080p / SDR). A further eight super-time loupes and two ultra-time loupe cameras, a cablecam and a cineflex helicopter camera will provide additional images from every angle of the stadium. In addition, the soccer games will be available in Virtual Reality (VR) live or as 360-degree video on demand (VoD).
The WM signals in Ultra HD, HDR & VR are available to all licensees. In Germany the transmission rights were granted to ARD and ZDF. So far the stations have announced but no concrete Ultra HD plans. The Football World Cup in Russia will take place from 14 June 2018 to 15 July 2018.

Der Weltfußballverband FIFA kündigt an, dass erstmals alle 64 Spiele der Fußball-WM 2018 in Russland in Ultra HD & HDR produziert werden. Parallel dazu stehen den TV-Sendern Bilder in 1080i und 1080p zur Verfügung.
Bei jedem WM-Spiel sollen 37 Kameras zum Einsatz kommen, davon acht mit dualer Ausgabe (UHD/HDR und 1080p/SDR) und weitere acht mit dualer Ausgabe (1080p/HDR und 1080p/SDR). Weitere acht Superzeitlupen- und zwei Ultrazeitlupenkameras, eine Cablecam und eine Cineflex-Helikopterkamera sollen für weitere Bilder aus jedem Blickwinkel des Stadions sorgen. Darüber hinaus werden die Fußball-Spiele in Virtual Reality (VR) live oder als 360-Grad-Video on Demand (VoD) zur Verfügung stehen.
