VU+ Kodi Support XBMC - playing files from smb/cifs

Hi

I have BH 2.1.7 with xbmc on vu+ solo2.
I have doing test with mediaplayer and mediaplayer2 extension, and both not
work well for me.
MP2 is from this thread.

If I choose file with XBMC from local hard drive it plays with mediaplayer and mp2.
If I choose file with XMBX from network share (smb/cifs) it will be added to play list
in mp but not play.
If I go to MP menu and I add the same file from mountpoint then it plays.

Is there any workaround for that ?

Just for information, Emby is a media server application.

But XBMC/Kodi on android boxes (I have measy) or raspberryPI working well with smb/cifs.

Could be something that was changed/fixed/updated between Gotham (which is the implementation on VU+ ) and Kodi upwards. Ill look around a little more.

Heh, but I'm using xbmc since xbox version and always playing from smb or nfs working well, so it's not a latest gotham or kodi future.
Hint: when I added source to XBMC from local mountpoint /mnt/net/my_server it work well.

I think, that this is a mediaplayer problem with smb (UNC?) path.
