Was worth the mention then as I am guessing not too many folk have a rs232 port anymoreWorks also with VU +.. I had experienced in Solo2 for boot loader update in clone and in Uno to image update via utility.

The cable is standard null modem, Note: the adapter will be required too though.hello is this cable the same for lonrisun solo2 clone :0)
Hello,
does any of You have pinout of RJ12 RS232 and IR connector on Solo SE v2?
I checked the IR receiver so first four pins i know
1 - LED
2 - GND
3 - IR signal
4 - VCC (+5V)
5 - ????
6 - ????
I hooked up USB - RS232 (not TTL) converter, opened terminal window and did not see any messages.
Why i want to use RS232? I hope there will be messages about turning on and off the receiver, so i can hook up arduino which will check the messages and turn tv on or off based on received message My old LCD SAMSUNG does not start based on HDMI signals.

Hello, i made some progress
The pinout is as follows:
1 - LED
2 - GND
3 - IR signal
4 - VCC (+5V)
5 - TxD (RS232 level - goes to RxD on PC)
6 - RxD (RS232 level - goes to TxD on PC)
Baudrate is 115200 no parity one stop bit
I am happy for that, but VU does not send info regarding standby mode (shutdown show more stuff) except it shows that the emulator has been stopped, but after waking up, no relevant infos

I have a question about the RJ12 port on the receiver vu + solo 4k.
I want to do a serial cable to the receiver.
I will be grateful for the information.

Does this work for anyone with USB to RS232 converter? I have FTDI 1232 converter but no matter what i do i only get garbage on putty output. It reacts to every keypress on remote but nothing is readable. The device is SoloSE v2.

hi,
is it possible to wire a 3 pin tsop 1738 IR receiver on this following wiring
Tsop 1738 pin1 = GND pin2 = VCC +5v pin 3 = IR signal
Is it correct ?
Best regards , Phil
