OpenATV 5.0 Backup Addons Pack For All VU+

We are often asked if it is possible to provide copys of our backup images for other VU+ models, unfortunately we can only create backups on the boxes we own so have came up with this idea to make things easier for members here to create their own then share with the community. Installing this to a fresh install of OpenATV 5.0 will give you.

Installation
1.Flash image as normal then run the setup wizard to configure your satellite & network settings (no need to install default satlists or perform a scan)

2.Send by FTP the attached ipk file to the /tmp directory of your VU+

3. Enter or paste the following command via telnet Then reboot when you see install complete.

If the amiko can access the openatv feeds then i see no reason why not buddy.

Really chuffed with your backup for ATV Image Ten, but can I ask one question? When changing from a free channel to a $cr****** channel I get an information bar accross the top of the screen with info about cam? This stays on the screen as long as the EPG and then goes. It is not a problem just annoying. How can I get rid of it and stop it from showing? Any/all advice appreciated.

Many thanks DD. I also had to go down to <> to save. As you say, "Job done". Really pleased, I know Iv'e said this before, chuffed with ATV. At long last got my better half away from Vix, and ATV works the same ie, 'Down Arrow' show Bouquets. Ta muchly to you guys and writers of the software we 'Newbies' use.

The reason for my happiness is my bike came back today, motorcycle that is.

Since the V&H Long Shots, (REEEEally LOUD now), were fitted there a few shakes of their heads. At least I treat my village as a village and not a reace track, (right near the main A1124). One day someone will be badly injured or killed. I wish there was a 20 MPH speed limit or a load of 'Sleeping Policeman'
