Hi.

I have the VU+ Solo 4K, installed the latest Black Hole Open, added a few days ago.

But Kodi don't work, when i start Kodi, i get a black screen for a few seconds, as normal, but the BH return to the list off plugins, i have tryed to change the resolution to 720p, but that's the same.

I have tryed several BH and other images, only tryed once to get Kodi opened, but when i try to play a movies (mkv), or play musik (mp3-flac), i just get a black screen, with tiny buttoms, play, stop, forward etc., any solution.!

Has it ever worked for you?
I would try deleting the .kodi folder from your HDD then a fresh one will be generated next time you start kodi & with any luck start normally.

I have allso tryed to delete the folder .kodi, it was not placed at the HDD, started kodi again, and the same happened again, return to the list of plugins.

Are you aware the folder is hidden by default?
In both Filezilla & DCC you need to enable viewing of hidden files before it is visible.

Hi Ten Below, and thanks.

I didn't know that, and now i have removed til .kodi folder.
After that, i started Kodi again, and the same happened, 2 seconds with black screen, and return to the list of plugins.

Symptoms indicate to me that Kodi is not installed correctly or is unable to find the HDD.

Did you install Kodi from the OBH feeds or other?

15.2 installed from the feeds does run but attempting to upgrade to 16 also results in the symptoms you describe.

I suggest you uninstall Kodi reboot and install again. If that fails flash again from new & try again or flash a known good backup.

If there is no Kodi content on HDD...then there will be nothing to display...so it will close down ...

Hi DirtyDonki

I have downloaded til Open Black Hole here (Firmware/DL section), and just installed it, did my search, setting, and try to start Kodi, didn't work.
Made this treat, since then, i have tryed to remove the kodi plugins, by "Remove Plugins", restart, didn't work.
Removed the hidden .kodi folder, no luck.
Found a kodi 16 made specially to Solo 4K, and a older 15,2 version, both made the same, black screen, and return to list of plugins.
Tomorrow i will try to flash with a new OBH.

If there is no Kodi content on HDD...then there will be nothing to display...so it will close down ...
Reason, it was a hidden folder, i have tryed to delete it, without luck.

Looking into the crash logfile of kodi, found this.!

Update and happy. :shake:

This morning i made a new and clean installation, with latest Open Black Hole.
Did the first few setting, 2160p, Danish, Network, og walked directly into plugins, and started the Kodi, and it works.

Happy, and thanks everyone.
