Vu+ with news: Vu+ Ultimo 4K a Vu+ Uno 4K

On newsstands Vu +, AB-COM and Satco Europe GmbH at the exhibition ANGA COM 2016, Cologne, which takes place from 7 to 06/09/2016 were presented new products from the family of Vu +.

At the fair they were presented among other new receiver Vu + Ultimo Vu + 4K and 4K Uno, able to receive programs in ultra high resolution (Ultra HD). Vu + sign so far offered only one receiving device - Vu + Solo 4K. It will have up to three devices manufacturer 4K UHD.

Vu + Ultimo 4K will have three interface variable dual tuners, one a FBC (DVB-S2 and DVB-C) and two DVB-S2 and DVB-C / DVB-T2. The receiver is equipped with a quad-core processor clock of 1.5 GHz, 4 GB of flash memory and 3 gigabytes of memory DDR4. The front panel includes a four inch display and a USB 2.0 port. Vu + Ultimo 4K supports 2.5 "and 3.5" hard drives. On the rear panel, inter alia, is an HDMI 2.0, two USB 3.0 ports, RCA, optical SPDIF audio output, the Ethernet gigabit. Furthermore, the receiver has two access cards and two slots for CI modules.

Items What's New 4K is ready for the FBC dual tuner DVB-S2 and DVB-C. The receiver has a dual core 1.7 GHz processor, 4 gigabytes of flash memory and 2 GB DDR4 memory. The unit has one čtečtu cards and one slot for CI module. There are also two USB 3.0 ports, optical SPDIF, HDMI version 2.0 and Gigabit Ethernet.

The receivers are designed to receive only programs of Ultra HD but also in the classic SD and high definition (HDTV) in MPEG-2, MPEG-4 / H.264 (AVC) and HEVC / H.265.

Nothing on the official website yet but I bet the pricing will be legendary.

soon enough we wont be sharing as freely as we have been and there's no 4k FTA
and if the Germans go the same way as us and the Italians then we wont sharing fooook all so why have a 4k box

I don't think Amp is saying that he is crying over CS's future so much but more about investing in future tech under the current circumstances.

I too was thinking 4K but since DE announced pairing I've decide not to bother as my DUO2 is only 3 years old & still the anyway.

Not tempted to go the IPTV route either as I really begrudge lining the pockets of thieves who couldn't give a sh*t about their punters when chips are down. Sure there is plenty of FREE IPTV out there & that would have to do but TBH I might just not bother at all & instead of sitting, getting fatter & fatter on a weekend in front of the goggle box might just get out more instead.

Nah! That idea sucks large. I my .......guess I'll find a way like I have done before over the last 20+ years.

I think its to early yet ill stick with my duo2 at the moment

With these new tuners installed, does this mean you can connect 1 feed from your lnb.watch 1 channel and record another, or would I need to run 2 feeds(cables) into the receiver

If the channels were on the same transponder then you can record 1 & watch 1 as is but if on another transponder you would need to run another cable unless one channel was on Sat & the other was on Terrestrial or Cable.

Ok so what’s the point in the super dooper tuners,id be better just having 2x dvbs2 and running in 2 separate feeds…what way do you set up these super dooper tuners…

When will this be released? and any idea of costs?

I wonder if it 4k TV will do HDR.

Over the years VU+ have always released just in time for Christmas so i expect to hear something very soon, no prices have been announced yet as far as i am aware.

The following information has been posted on the BH forum,
The Vu + Uno 4K 4K will appear before the end of the year.
As of today, the Uno 4K FBC Tuner is from the end of November at a retail price of € 269.00 incl. Be available.
The Ultimo 4K but will appear later in 2016 in the trade.

The Uno 4K as DVB-C version will be released somewhat later than the DVB-S2 version.
The delivery dates given are approximate values.

Does anyone know timeline for Vu+ Ultimo 4K? I am thinking whether it is the right time to buy Vu+Solo 4K or wait until the Vu + Ultimo 4K is coming.
