I just looked and File Explorer is not listed among the BH Extensions for download via the plugins menu (Yellow button).

I use Dream-Explorer myself which is available in the same place & listed as D-Explorer.

I use filebrowser. Find in Addons Download Manager/ Black Hole Feeds Plugins.

I need plugin can edit files & change file permissions not
just browser as tux commander in dreambox etc.

Use Filezilla, VUCC, DCC or any other ftp program, whatever it is you need to do using a VU+ remote to do it would be a painfully slow.
