VU+ Kodi Support Kodi Internal DVDPlayer - No Sound

Hope someone can help.
I'm running OpenATV image on a Solo4k. Unfortunately I have a very low bandwidth internet connection and when kodi content is played via the Enigma2 player it's unwatchable (if that's even a word) because the player doesn't buffer, or if it does the buffer is very small so everything 'stutters' very badly.

The kodi DVDplayer does buffer and plays content 'smoothly' but there's no sound

So 2 questions... anybody know how to fix the sound issue? Anyone know how to set the kodi DVDPlayer as the Default player?

i have the same issue i can hear kodi clicks when moving to tabs, soon as put movie to play on kodi player no sound.. everything else is working

Never used DVD on a Vu+ box so guessing here but suspect this may be down to the internal player which causes similar sound (or lack of) issues on other media types (movie/music).

Suggest reading and trying tips already posted here for those.
