Ten Below, I see the post you have linked to, but the HDF website does not have a download link for either HDF 5.3 or HDF 5 .2 for VU Solo2 .
How did you manage to get a download link for 5.2 ?

Hi Chris im sorry to say this is the latest for Solo2, the reason given by the HDF guys is that VU+ refuse to support their image for this model for reasons unknown to the rest of us but until either can compromise that is unlikely to change. That said almost everything that works on one OE Alliance image will or can be made to work on another teams so if there is anything you especially like about this one & would like to see on a more up to date imagenow is the time to speak.

I'm a bit of a novice, and have got this Backup Image working exactly how I want. It's an absolute joy to use so I'll stick with it for now.
I cannot thank you enough for the help you have given, it's really appreciated.

p.s. I'm curious to know if Skyskin 3.0 is compatible with this Backup Image or would it create too many problems to use.

That one is only for OpenPLi/OBH atm but you should be ok with BlueHD which should be in the image feeds or this on that backup.

It's 100% down to personal choice when it comes to skins though Chris so if your happy stay put i will say the nobile white on that image was very good for me.

@chelsea4023 although 5.3 is not available for the Solo2 i have managed to compile it from the github sources, the image itself runs fine but XBMC does not run due to certain things not being available so if you really want to stick with HDF & can live without XBMC just shout.

My apologies for not getting back sooner. I would most definitely be interested in 5.3 for the Solo2, as I have no need for XBMC. Being cheeky, if I was to update this image, would it be possible to tie it in to a Sky Skin of some kind ?
