The Romanian regulator ANCOM has opened a public consultation on proposals to amend the procedure for the award of DTT channel licences.
According the ANCOM, the purpose of the amendments is to simplify the process, to the (licence) holder’s benefit.
It adds that in Romania providers of audiovisual programme services must hold an audiovisual licence issued by the National Audiovisual Council (CNA), as well as a transmission licence (for broadcasting in analogue or digital) and the corresponding technical authorisation issued by ANCOM.
