General VU+ Receiver Discussion Solo2 box starting issue

Hi all,

I have a genuine VU+ solo2 box and it has always worked perfectly.

I never turned off the box, just a GUI restart now and again. But yesterday I had to turn it off completely, but in doing so it would get stuck on loading screen. Luckily I had a backup on usb, i flashed it and the box booted no problem.

This morning I turned it off completely and again the same stuck at loading screen issue. I reflased with the backup and it worked perfectly again.

I'm stumped. There nothing different image wise between whats on the box and my backup on the usb.

Using ten belows openatv 5.3 image.

Any help appreciated.

Could be a problem with the bootloader. I would flash a newer Image, like the open atv 6.0 from ten below and see what happens then. Perhaps try the original image for your solo2 an see what happens with that.

Yeah, think I'll have to do that alright. I was trying to avoid as i had this set up nicely and was too lazy to do it again. Haha.

For me and my solo2, when i have problems flashing an image, it helps to try out a few (like vti or atv) others.
